Background
Carmarthenshire County Council serves the needs of some 80,000 households, providing the full range of local government services to a diverse community in the heart of Wales.
The Challenge
Over the years the council has accumulated planning applications from a number of parishes.
The Solution
Transmedia's task was to bring together more than 20,000 planning application files in an affordable format, archived both in black and white and colour for internal and public access. The new CD-based system can now be retrieved in a fast medium with convenient thumbnails via tailor-made software.
